One takeaway is that perhaps talents and strategy are coupled to certain teams–this is a “Buzz Bullets” kind of play, and there are lots of other modern styles, from Japan-inspired small ball of Sockeye to Fury’s big lane cutter “system” vs. a star-driven approach of Payne/Jorgensen/Fey.
I think recognizing these styles is useful for player development–is it something that Flik might start having chapters on? I’d love to understand for example how Revolver and Fury have evolved in the last 3-5 years, or to be able to track down specific influences of Buzz Bullets on Sockeye or have some historical and theoretical understanding of the Stanford offense versus Oregon Clown-Tent.
