The ‘Dish’ is a short range throw, typically where the disc is returned to a handler who is cutting upfield. Fig. 1 shows an example where a cutter, B, dishes to a handler A who is cutting upfield. Notice how the throw is mostly sideways and it is the momentum of A that results in power position.
